Wrath or anger is an emotion that is inherent in every human being. It is the name of an emotional state or condition that changes in intensity. That is, a person has different types of anger in different situations and times. Anger often leads to dire consequences. So, it is important for everyone to learn to control their anger. Psychologists believe that if a person makes a conscious effort, he can control his anger over time. That is, he will get angry, but now he will be the master of his anger, not his own slave.

There are many reasons for anger. It is inherited in some people, while in some families people get angry and this is what the children raised there to learn. Researchers say that lack of sleep, loss of appetite, and fatigue also affect human emotions and such a person easily becomes irritable and gets irritated by trivial things.

Anger has a detrimental effect on human health because in anger the human body releases hormones that help it deal with this condition, but if these hormones are released frequently or regularly, the human body would suffer from a variety of diseases. These include headaches and abdominal pain, insomnia, high blood pressure, depression, restlessness, heart attack, and stroke. To avoid these diseases, it is important for a person to learn to control his anger so that he can lead a healthy and meaningful life.

Anger is not only harmful to health but also often puts relationships at stake. The atmosphere in the house remains muddy. Anger is also said to be an important reason for divorce in our country. No one likes to make angry people their friends and such people are left alone. In addition, a person in anger inflicts severe damage on himself and others, resulting in either going to jail or losing his life and the lives of others.

There are many ways to control anger, but here are some important steps that have been taken.

Express emotions

If you are angry about something, express it carefully. That is, speak with respect to yourself and others. Avoid blaming or using the wrong words. Don’t listen to hearsay without research. The Qur’an teaches us to investigate things (al-Hujurat). But if it is not possible for you to express your feelings, then in such a situation, psychologists advise you to start writing down the thoughts that come to your mind in a diary, so that all the frustrations of your heart will go away and you Will feel better.

Keep quiet

According to Dr. Spell Berger (American researcher), this method is the best and it needs to be adopted to stay calm. However, it is extremely difficult to remain silent in a state of rage. But by adopting this one habit, you will win half the battle against anger. Because silence will give you time to think and understand and you will not do anything emotionally that you will later regret. Researchers recommend taking deep breaths at this time and repeating any calm word or phrase in your heart.

Talk positively to yourself

In a state of intense emotion, a person often thinks negative things that work like oil on burning. While keeping yourself positive and thinking positive things will help you stay calm by creating feelings of patience and gratitude. Similarly, you can talk to someone who is trustworthy and can give you the right advice.

Change your position

Changing position means that you move away from the position to prevent the condition from escalating further. And the second is to follow the hadeeth that if a person is standing in a state of anger, he should sit down, and if he is sitting, he should lie down. Water use such as drinking water, washing hands and feet, and bathing is also beneficial.

Exercise

Exercise produces happiness hormones in your body called endorphins. Getting regular exercise will help reduce your anger. Choose your favorite exercise. Play walking, swimming, yoga, boxing, cycling, cricket, or any other similar exercise or sport, and then in the game you will beat the anger.

Learn to use time wisely

One of the main causes of anger is the accumulation of many tasks or not being able to do them on time, which increases stress, and a person easily becomes angry due to lack of sleep, hunger, and fatigue. So, get in the habit of completing today’s work today.

Take care of your health

Eat a balanced diet, balance work, and leisure, spend time with your loved ones, and include sightseeing in your routine. All of these habits are essential to improving your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

Conclusion

Finally, know that people are important, so work with forgiveness. Learn to forgive others. There is a great exhortation in the Qur’an to forgive. This one virtue will change your destiny and you will be able to live a healthy and happy life with yourself and others.
